Approximate Grade Levels
Did you know that the average deaf person graduates on the 3rd to 4th grade reading level? Yikes! I never like hearing that fact, and I am sure that you do not either! Together, let’s change things!
I strongly believe that you can only know where you are going when you know where you are at! Please check to see where your child is so that we can effectively work together to achieve grade-level reading.
Reading Milestones is a program that was developed especially for the deaf. It is a very structured reading program that aims at filling in the gaps deaf readers often have.
This is a self-paced program. Please work with your child on his/her sight words every night to help your child reach his/her full potential. With a sincere commitment from me, you, and your child...the sky is truly the limit!
