Where in the World...?

Introduction

This activity is designed to motivate students to integrate critical thinking skills and technology to reach their maximum potential in being life-long problem solvers.
 

Instructional Objectives

Content

This problem-solving project involves students creating clues from factual information about their city and posting the clues on the web page.  In addition, other students from other schools will be asked to provide clues about their cities.  These clues will also be posted on the web page.  All visitors to the web page will be invited to use the clues to try to reveal the cities for each group of clues.  At the end of the project, the answers will be posted so that participants can check their answers.

Timeline

August Provide project school with questions to be answered.
September-October Students use the internet to research questions and compose clues.  Post questions, clues and response location to the Internet.
October-December Use the Internet to solve clues from other schools to locate those other schools.
December Post the answers to the Internet
