Multicultural Parade

Introduction

Students will exchange information with students in other countries about customs and costumes from around the world.

Instructional Objectives

Content

Students will contact key pals from classrooms in other countries to find out and exchange information.  They will ask them questions about their customs and costumes that they would like to display in the Multicultural Parade.

The teacher will divide the students into groups and let the groups decide the country they want to research.  Then the students will begin making contacts with the countries.  The groups will organize and record their findings and begin to plan their part in the Multicultural Parade.  A parade will take place around the school with each group dressed and presenting their country's customs.
