Goal:

To implement technology and the Internet into the campus/district/library using the knowledge and skills gained in the TIF Tech Training.
Support
  • Share district's technology vision with all staff
  • Require all teachers to read and sign a Acceptable Use Policy before using computers
  • Disseminate information to faculty in a timely manner
  • Provide teacher access to district-developed troubleshooting guidelines
  • Provide ongoing technical support for the faculty


 
Instructional Initiatives

Enhance student academic achievement through:

  • Encouraging cross-curricular integration 
  • Implementation of technology TEKS in all grade levels
  • Encourage increased student use of computers in the classroom
Increase teacher use of available technology by providing:
  • Demonstrations and training for new technologies
  • Updated accessible teacher resource page


 
Sustainability
  • Provide for updating and implementation of resources
  • Encourage the use of technology in daily lesson plans by administration
  • Provide opportunities for web exploration
  • Promote continued interest/enthusiasm by showcasing current projects
 
Evaluation and periodic review
  • Review campus technology vision, skills, incentives, resources and action plan to determine missing components.
Future possibilities
  • Purchase wireless computer labs for each class
  • Provide more time for technology staff development
  • Budget for ongoing technology needs:  color printers, projector devices, cartidge refills, scanners, digital cameras
  • Hire full time district staff member devoted to grant writing
  • Technical support personnel on campus
