Q: Why can't I access the network/FirstClass/Internet?
A: Ask other teachers if they are experiencing similar problems. If they are, contact the Help Desk. If they are not:
- Check the Ethernet port on the back of your computer. It is the one with a skinny, usually blue cord that goes from your computer to a port in the wall (it looks similar to a phone jack). Make sure the cord is connected securely at both ends and that there is a green light next to the port on your computer.
- Make sure you are entering the correct username and password.
Q: Who do I contact for telephone support?
A: Your campus administrator or secretary can submit a telephone support request for you. This includes installing new phones, changing or moving existing phones, repairing broken phones, etc.
Q: How can I reduce the amount of unsolicited email (spam) I receive?
A: You can help prevent spam by following the tips in these articles and by forwarding the spam you receive to "Email Abuse" (in the FirstClass directory):
